Typhoon Yolanda hit the Philippines and went on record to be one of the most powerful typhoon of all time. More than 14 million lives were disrupted and many were left nothing to fend for themselves. It was during this crisis that Mr. Jonathan and Mrs. Aileen Suy of SUY Chicken Corp. saw the perfect opportunity to serve their fellow Filipinos in need.

They noticed that through donations came pouring in, often these needed form of kitchenware such as gas ranges or a supply of water to prepare. Then a brilliant idea popped into their heads – why not produce a variety of easy-open canned meals, complete with rice and viand, so people can enjoy the comfort of home-cooking without needing a kitchen of tools and ingredients to prepare it.
